collect一词表示的是采集、收藏和收集的意思，例如和 stamps搭配变成collecting stamps表示集邮的意思。也不排除雅思口语考官会把这个词换成hoard，如果不明白这词可能就会出现理解上的问题了。当然，考生最好是多多记忆一些同义词。对于基础不好的同学先从入手，中级水平的同学慢慢就可以尝试。
The reason why people love to do so is that they see the values in them. For example, the most common stuff they collect are antiques which are valuable because they are old and precious enough. Also, I see this article is from Laokaoya website, people collect things because they have a sense of nostalgia. Only those old things can help them better recall those good old days.
我认为人们为啥喜爱 搜集东西是因为他们看到了这些东西的价值所在。比如，他收集的东西里最常见的就是古董了，这些古董很有价值，因为年代足够久远也足够珍贵。另外，人们收集东西是因为他们有一种怀旧感。只有那些旧的东西能够帮助他们更好的找回曾经美好的记忆。
